Dreaming up stories before she could even write, Emily was born and raised in the Bluegrass before moving to Ohio. She loves weaving romance with thrills and suspense (and maybe a touch of horror). She attributes her penchant for darkness to ghost stories, true crime, and daydreaming about Dallas Winston after reading The Outsiders in the 7th grade.
